Hello! I'm Shelly

Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA)
Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC)

I'm so glad you're here! The first thing you should know about me is that my journey to providing trauma-responsive and neurodiversity affirming services is forever evolving - I am always learning, unlearning, and relearning!

I've been learning from and supporting autistic children/youth and their families since 2005. Over the years, my knowledge of various neurotypes and specializations have grown to include Anxiety, ADHD, and OCD.

I help individuals and their families overcome various life challenges by supporting them to navigate systems of care, advocate for their needs, and to understand and capitalize on their own emotional patterns and strengths.

Recently, I've been supporting educators, mental health services providers, and community groups by enriching their understanding of autism and neurodiversity affirming practices. My learning events aim to equip attendees with practical approaches and mindsets to support neurodivergent children and youth.

I am well versed in, social-emotional learning (SEL) practices, attachment-based supports, cognitive (CBT) and behavioural (DBT) modalities, solution focused therapy (SFT), and my personal favourite, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT).

Teaching from a place of joy is extremely important to me! I am committed to offering services that meet the individual and family needs and result in meaningful outcomes.
